HOLIDAY DECOR
HOLIDAY DECOR in complete property service in merced and stanislaus county.
The two things that go wrong with a holiday display are electrical and structural: a circuit carrying more than it should, and clips that were actually staples. BluMint WRX installs and removes seasonal decor across Atwater, CA for homes and businesses. Rooflines, wreaths, garlands, pathway markers, and yard displays get planned, mounted, powered on timers, and taken down in January. Booking early secures both an installation date and a takedown date in the same conversation.

A DISPLAY SHOULD LOOK EFFORTLESS FROM THE STREET.
The displays people admire are almost never the largest ones. They are the ones with even spacing, consistent color temperature, clean lines along the roof edge, and no visible extension cord running across the lawn. That look comes from planning the layout before anything goes up, not from buying more lights.
We measure the runs, work out the circuits, and mount everything with clips rather than fasteners that leave holes. What the street sees is a finished display; what you avoid is a ladder in December.
✓ Layout planned before any lights go up
✓ Clips on gutters and shingles, never staples
✓ Circuits checked so nothing overloads
✓ Takedown scheduled at the time of install
HOLIDAY DECOR
THE SEASON STARTS WITHOUT YOU ON A LADDER.
Roof work in December is how a large share of seasonal injuries happen, and the risk sits almost entirely with people doing it once a year on equipment they borrowed. Beyond the safety of it, the time cost is real: an afternoon untangling, an afternoon mounting, a return trip for the strand that failed, and another day in January taking it all down. Handing the whole cycle over converts a weekend project into a scheduled appointment.
DECEMBER BOOKS OUT BEFORE THANKSGIVING HERE.
Seasonal installation is the most compressed service on our calendar. Everybody wants the same three weekends, weather narrows the working days, and crews book solid by late November across the county. Businesses feel it worst, because a storefront that goes up two weeks after everyone else's has effectively missed the season. Reserving a date in early fall is the difference between choosing your slot and taking whatever remains.
WE HAVE UNTANGLED EVERY MISTAKE A DISPLAY CAN MAKE.
Strands stapled through the insulation. Three runs on one circuit. Cords rated for indoor use running across a wet lawn. Inflatables anchored to nothing in particular. Clips left on a gutter until summer welded them there. Across 6 years of installs we have arrived to find every one of those, and every one was avoidable at the planning stage. Knowing what fails in January shapes how we install in November.
WHY CHOOSE US FOR HOLIDAY DECOR.
Nobody From Your Household On A Roof
December roof work causes a meaningful share of seasonal injuries, and it is almost always someone doing it once a year. Handing over the ladder portion removes the single most dangerous part of decorating an exterior entirely in the middle of winter.
Clips, Never Staples
Fasteners driven through a strand damage the wire and leave holes in trim and gutters. Clips designed for shingles and gutter lips hold just as well, come off cleanly in January, and leave the building exactly as it was.
Circuits Checked Before Power
Overloaded circuits and undersized extension cords cause the dark sections and tripped breakers that ruin a display mid-season. Load gets calculated and outdoor-rated cords get used, so the lights stay on through the whole run all the way to January.
Timers Set And Left Alone
Displays come on at dusk and shut off on schedule without anybody remembering to flip a switch. That saves power, avoids the all-night glow, and removes one more daily chore from an already crowded stretch of the calendar in December.
Takedown Is Already Booked
The January problem is worse than the December one, because enthusiasm has gone. Scheduling removal at the same time as installation is what prevents a display still glowing quietly into February and a set of clips left until summer.
Storage Handled Properly
Strands come down coiled rather than balled, and everything gets labeled by where it went. Next season starts from an organized box rather than from an hour of untangling on a cold driveway the following November, in the dark.
WHAT WE INSTALL
OUR HOLIDAY DECOR WORK
Six installation types cover almost every display we are booked for. Most properties combine several, and planning them together produces a display that reads as one design rather than a set of separate decisions.

ROOFLINE
Roofline Light Installation
Even runs along gutters, eaves, ridgelines, and peaks with consistent spacing and color temperature. Clips sized for your gutter lip or shingle profile hold the strands securely without a single fastener going into the trim or the fascia board.

GREENERY
Wreath and Garland Hanging
Wreaths on doors, gables, and windows, with garland along railings, columns, entryways, and porch beams. Anchoring is planned so wind does not shift anything, and mounting points leave no marks once everything comes down at the end of the season.

YARD
Pathway and Yard Displays
Pathway markers, staked figures, lit trees, and inflatables anchored properly rather than pegged optimistically into dry ground. Cord routing gets planned so nothing crosses a walkway or sits visible from the street at all where a cord could trip somebody.

BUSINESS
Commercial Storefront Displays
Storefronts, office frontage, and business entrances installed outside trading hours. Commercial displays are judged against every other business on the street, so consistency of spacing and color temperature matters considerably more here than it does on a residential roofline.

POWER
Timer and Power Setup
Outdoor-rated cords, correctly loaded circuits, and timers or smart plugs configured to your preferred hours. Every connection gets weatherproofed and tested before the crew leaves, because mid-season electrical failures are entirely avoidable with preparation and a few minutes of care.

TAKEDOWN
Post-Season Takedown and Storage
Removal scheduled at the time of installation, usually in early January. Strands come down coiled and labeled, clips come off without leaving marks, and everything is packed so next season begins from an organized box rather than a tangled pile.
THE WORD ON OUR WORK
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY.
The comment we hear most is about January rather than December. People describe the relief of a takedown date already being on the calendar, and businesses mention that their frontage was lit on the first weekend rather than the third.
Common Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
Timing, materials, power, and what happens at the end of the season. Anything not covered here can go through the contact form, and it reaches somebody who works these installations directly.
Do you supply the lights or do I provide them?
Most clients supply their own decorations, and we install what you have. Sourcing can be arranged as part of the setup if you would rather start fresh, and that gets settled during the planning conversation well ahead of installation.
When should holiday installation be booked?
Early fall secures your preferred date, and late November is when the calendar fills completely. Commercial frontage especially benefits from booking early, since a storefront lit two weeks late has effectively missed the most valuable part of the season.
Will the installation damage my roof or gutters?
No. Clips designed for shingle edges and gutter lips carry the strands, and nothing at all gets stapled, screwed, or nailed. BluMint WRX installs across Atwater, CA without leaving fastener holes in trim or fascia once everything comes down.
Why do sections of a display go dark mid-season?
Loose connections, undersized extension cords, and overloaded circuits together account for nearly all of it. Calculating the load and testing every single connection during installation is what prevents the dark section that otherwise shows up right around the middle of December.
When does takedown usually happen?
Early January for most clients, though some prefer to run their display through mid-month instead. The date gets set during installation rather than left open, which is exactly why none of our displays are still glowing quietly into February.
Can inflatables and yard figures be installed too?
Yes, with proper ground anchoring rather than the stakes that ship in the box. Dry Valley ground holds anchors poorly, so figures get secured in a way that survives wind rather than relocating overnight into a neighboring yard.
Do you install for businesses as well as homes?
Both, and commercial work is a large share of the season. BluMint WRX handles storefronts, offices, and commercial frontage across Atwater, CA, scheduling installation outside trading hours so nothing interrupts customers, deliveries, or staff during the working day.
What happens to the decorations after removal?
Everything comes down coiled, labeled, and packed for storage, or disposed of entirely if you are replacing it. Labeling each run by location is what makes next season's installation quick instead of starting over from scratch every single year.
HOW WE WORK
FROM DESIGN PLAN TO JANUARY TAKEDOWN, HERE IS HOW.
STEP 01
Plan The Display
We look at rooflines, entry points, pathways, and what you already own. Layout, strand counts, and color consistency get decided now, because a display planned in advance always reads better than one assembled on the day.
STEP 02
Book Both Dates
Installation and takedown get scheduled together, in the same conversation. Reserving the January date at the same time as the November one is the single most useful thing about booking this as a service.
STEP 03
Work Out The Power
Circuits get counted, the total load gets calculated, and outdoor-rated cords get specified for each individual run. Getting this right beforehand is what prevents tripped breakers and dark sections halfway through a cold December evening.
STEP 04
Mount Everything Securely
Clips on gutters and shingles, anchors in the ground, and hidden cord routing wherever possible. Nothing gets stapled or screwed, and every mounting point is chosen so removal leaves no trace behind on the trim or gutter.
STEP 05
Test And Set The Timers
Every strand and connection is tested, weatherproofed, and timed before the crew leaves. We check the finished display from the street after dark, since that is the only view that actually matters to the people driving past.
STEP 06
Take It Down In January
On the date already booked, everything comes down. Strands get coiled and labeled, clips come off cleanly, and the property returns to exactly the condition it was in before the season started without a single mark.
